Lately, it seems that all I want is fast and easy. In the kitchen that is. Working full time plus responsibilities at home have been taking a toll on me. When I get home from work, the last thing I want to do is spend an hour cooking dinner. One of the biggest obstacles to my quick and easy debacle is… I’m cooking for two. Whatever I stir up has to pass the husband test.
With that in mind, I decided to throw together some chopped green cabbage and smoked sausage. Being a bit of a picky eater, I don’t use just plain smoked sausage. Johnsonville Better with Cheddar, always. 2 carbs per link.. not too bad especially when it’s going to be split between 2-3 people.
Smoked Sausage and Cabbage
1 head green cabbage, chopped
1 pkg Johnsonville Better with Cheddar Smoked Sausage(6 links)
1 stick salted butter
Salt & Pepper
Melt butter in pot Cut sausages into bite size pieces. Add cabbage to pot. Cover and cook on medium heat until it starts getting soft (about 15-20 minutes). Add smoked sausage, salt, and pepper to taste. Continue to cook until cabbage is tender to your liking. (10 minutes, or so, more)
Serve and enjoy!
